Who We Are?
Baca Sa(e)gunda All-Embracing (YIC - Why I Care): Offering a Helping Hand to Ontario's Underprivileged
In the heart of Ontario, where the pace of life can be overwhelming and the clamour of daily living echoes loudly, there exists a silent cry for help, often going unheard. This cry emanates from the corners of our society where families and individuals, despite their hardest efforts, struggle to make ends meet. They are the underprivileged, the ones who sometimes face a daily challenge to secure the basic necessities of life. Baca Sa(e)gunda was born out of a deep understanding and empathy for these cries. Baca Sa(e)gunda, a charitable non-profit organization, has set forth with a mission to bridge the gap between needs and resources. Our name, Baca Sa(e)gunda, reflects our commitment to always being the second home, the second chance, the second hope for those in need.
Our Beginning
The underlying fabric of our society is interwoven with compassion, love, and the deep-seated understanding that every individual deserves a fair chance. While many of us are fortunate enough to not worry about our next meal or a warm bed to sleep in, a significant number in our community are not as lucky. Recognizing this disparity, Baca Sa(e)gunda was established to assist the underprivileged and low-income elderly families in and around Ontario, ensuring that no cry for help goes unheard.
Our Mission
At the heart of Baca Sa(e)gunda All-Embracing (YIC - Why I Care) lies a simple principle: To ensure that every individual and family in distress finds a beacon of hope. We have tirelessly worked towards identifying those in dire need of assistance, understanding their predicaments, and channeling resources to address their immediate concerns. Whether it’s ensuring a warm meal, a secure shelter, or simply offering emotional support, Baca Sa(e)gunda stands as a pillar of strength and reliability.
Looking Towards the Future
While addressing immediate needs remains our core focus, Baca Sa(e)gunda is equally invested in sculpting a brighter future for the underprivileged. We understand that today's youth are tomorrow's leaders, and to ensure they are given equal opportunities, we are endeavouring to establish a scholarship program. This initiative is dedicated to assisting youth from low-income families, enabling them to attend college or trade schools, ensuring that financial constraints don’t deter dreams. Our mission to help underprivileged youth goes beyond the borders of Canada and reaches back to the communities of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, in the Caribbean. Here we hope to assist youth in need so that they can attend school. Moreover, our society's elders, who've given so much of their lives for our collective growth, often find themselves in vulnerable positions in their twilight years. Recognizing their service and understanding their unique needs, Baca Sa(e)gunda is embarking on future endeavors that cater to the underprivileged elderly. Plans are in motion to establish in-home respite care programs, ensuring our seniors live their golden years with dignity, comfort, and peace.
