Who We Are

Baca Sa(e)gunda All Embracing (YIC - Why I Care): Offering a Helping Hand to Ontario's Underprivileged

In the heart of Ontario, where the pace of life can be overwhelming and the clamour of daily living echoes loudly, there exists a silent cry for help, often going unheard. This cry emanates from the corners of our society where families and individuals, despite their hardest efforts, struggle to make ends meet. They are the underprivileged, the ones who sometimes face a daily challenge to secure the basic necessities of life. Baca Sa(e)gunda was born out of a deep understanding and empathy for these cries.

Baca Sa(e)gunda, a charitable non-profit organization, has set forth with a mission to bridge the gap between needs and resources. Our name, Baca Sa(e)gunda, reflects our commitment to always being the second home, the second chance, the second hope for those in need.

The inspiration for Bacasaegunda is deeply rooted in Psalm 30:5: "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning."

How we got our name?

The very essence of Baca Sa(e)gunda All Embracing (YIC - Why I Care) is intricately tied to its name, a beacon of hope derived from profound biblical foundations. The term "Baca" is of Hebrew origin, translating to the "valley of tears." It's a poignant reminder of the hardships and trials that countless individuals face daily. However, our name, much like our mission, does not dwell in the sorrow but seeks to uplift and inspire.

The inspiration for Baca Sa(e)gunda is deeply rooted in Psalm 30:5: "weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." This verse encapsulates our organization's driving principle: while pain and hardship might be momentary, a dawn of hope and joy always awaits. Baca Sa(e)egunda endeavors to be that morning light, a manifestation of joy, bringing solace and support to those trapped in their night of struggles.

The conception of our organization was not a mere happenstance but arose from our founder's profound love for humanity. Their passion for embracing and uplifting people from all walks of life served as the cornerstone for Baca Sa(e)gunda. The vision was clear: to stand by those in their valleys of tears and guide them towards the joy that a new day promises.

Further shaping our ethos is the principle derived from Isaiah 43: 16-21, emphasizing the act of "making a way where there is no way." It serves as a testament to our relentless pursuit to create paths of opportunity, support, and love for those who feel lost or trapped in their circumstances.

Baca Sa(e)gunda is not merely a name. It's our commitment, our promise, and our guiding light, ensuring that every individual finds their morning of joy after a night of tears.
